Our history
MECANO ALCA was founded in 1998 by Alain Cardinal, who had himself been a mechanic-welder for more than ten years.
In his early days, Mr. Cardinal set up a mobile service unit to carry out maintenance and repairs of hydraulic equipment on site, at his customers' premises. A year later, seeing his clientele grow rapidly, he rented a small room in Boisbriand and hired his first employee.

MECANO ALCA has since gained the trust and loyalty of its customers and now has more than twenty employees. In 2006, the company moved into a brand new building in an industrial district of Blainville and even had to expand the premises 2 years later, in order to respond more adequately to the demand of its ever-growing clientele.

In the summer of 2016, MECANO ALCA again expanded its premises, bringing the total number of service doors to 8. The service offices have been strategically reorganized and a new parts counter has been added to better respond to our customers.
​
In 2020, Mr. Cardinal sells his shares in the company to two of its loyal directors, Martin Légaré and Yves Jodoin, with the aim of ensuring healthy growth of the company and the continuity of the application of its values.

MECANO ALCA has an uncommon concern for excellence, which gives it the reputation of "benchmark" in its field, both on the north shore of Montreal and in other regions of Quebec.
